PAJ Group consist of the four business units EMS, Traffic, Sensors and Safety. All four units have research, development and production capabilities for own products by applying PAJ’s cross-functional mechatronic platforms. We are experienced within a broad range of technologies such as electronics & software, mechanics & casing, interfaces, robotics, fluid control, lasers & optics and sensors.
Development and manufacturing in all four areas share the same characteristics of very strict regulations and certifications – for example for our medical equipment or safety electronics. Human lives, the environment and large values can be in danger if our solutions are not living up to the specifications and strict quality demands. Dutch Metrology Institute
VSL is the National Metrology Institute of the Netherlands, appointed by the Dutch government to maintain and develop the national measurement standards. VSL makes measurement results of companies, laboratories and organizations directly traceable to international standards. VSL makes an important contribution towards the reliability, quality and innovation of products and processes, both in business and society at large.
Within DOCA VSL participates with staff and equipment from the chemistry group (gas analysis) and flow group.
The chemistry group in VSL has more than 30 years of experience in the preparation and certification of gas mixtures. The accuracy of the gravimetrically prepared mixtures is state-of-the-art and has been demonstrated in many international comparisons with other National Metrology Institutes. The VSL chemistry group has a vast track record in supply of reference gas mixtures for a wide range of compounds in a broad composition range. The group also has many years of experience in dynamic mixture preparation using diffusion and permeation techniques for preparing mainly volatile organic compounds in air. It has a wide variety of state-of-the-art analytical equipment for analysis of all gaseous compounds. Over the last 5 years the group has invested strongly in novel laser-based spectroscopic set-ups capable of analysing a range of compounds with ppb sensitivity.
The VSL flow laboratories include a broad range of primary and secondary flow standards. VSL has vast experience in fluid flows and is internationally recognised for its knowledge and expertise on fluid flows.
